Invite Only

A trend for the tastemakers ๐Ÿซ’

Post-pandemic, social sharing has become more authentic and honest. We have craved intimacy for so long that we no longer care about capturing picture-perfect moments; instead, we share our lives without filters, mainly due to the help of TikTok.

From learning new dances to decorating cakes for the first time, creators are fearless in posting themselves trying recent trends. Sharing candid moments of intimate friends gathering for a candle-lit dinner party with hand-painted menus at each setting is a recurring trend on my feed.

I love creating quick, unique designs not confined by social media or design pressures. Instead, we see more people pushing themselves to be more personal and authentic.

The Makers ๐Ÿธ

@hanselkai hand-makes unique menus for her monthly dinner parties in Brooklyn. Mya has an impeccable eye for design. Her videos give us a glimpse into her life of yummy food, a beautiful home, and great clothes. Her playful menus have led to multiple brand collaborations, including designing a tablescape with Ganni.

Happy Menocal is a design studio that has mastered the craft of hand-painted menus and invitations. I dream of them regularly. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Implementation ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Inspired by this trend, I hand-painted graphic shapes for the invite and menus and hand-painted the table runner for extra flair. I genuinely believe these hand-painted elements add a personal connection to any party.
